Thomas Dardar Jr.

Biography
Thomas Dardar is a member of the United Houma Nation who currently resides in the city of Houma, Louisiana. He is a long time member of the UHN Tribal Council and represents tribal memebers in the Houma district. Thomas also is the President of the Dulac Community Center Board of Directors, and serves on the Teche Action Clinic Board of Directors.
Thomas is presently employed by Offshore Specialty Fabricators Inc. of Houma. He is a Certified NACE Coatings Inspector. Thomas is the son of Thomas Dardad Sr. and Beverly Dardar. His wife and he have been married for 28 blessed years and are the proud parents of Thomas III and his wife Mimi, and second son Jarod, as well as their daughter Missy and her husband Shane Griffin. Thomas and Noreen Dardar are also pruod granparents of Destiny Batholomew, Thomas Abraham Dardar IV, Brett John, and Seth John Griffin.
Thomas and his family have participated in, and assisted at, powwows all over the south for over 20 years, and are considered icons. This year (2004) marked his eleventh year as manager of the Calling of the Tribes Powwow, held annually in Bourg, Louisiana. He and his family have also assisted in the Indian Santa Program with Uncle Joe Dardard (Indian Santa) and others for many years.
