Halito my friends and family,
On behalf of the United Houma Nation, welcome to our site. If you are a tribal citizen, this is your site and we are committed to it meeting your needs and having real time updates about upcoming events, current services and the latest news. For our friends and potential new friends, we hope you are able to explore and learn more about our Tribe’s past, present and future here.
When I stepped into this role in June 2018, I was committed to be being of service to you our tribal citizens and ensuring the future is bright for our children. The only way we do that is together. I hope this site is a link for you in keeping that connection. There are many challenges ahead of us, but we have come through so many more that have made us stronger as a people. I also hope you find inspiration in this site to be called to action to work by my side and the Tribal Council. Together we can move towards federal recognition and all other hurdles necessary to honor our ancestors and protect the sovereignty of our future generations.
Be sure to follow us on Facebook and sign up at the bottom of the page to be a subscriber to stay updated on UHN news and announcements. We will be calling for your help. By signing up for updates you will receive email alerts when updates, news and events have been posted to the site so you don't have to go looking for the latest information you'll receive timely notices. I will also personally be posting to a blog (access it under Principal Chief Updates within the Government section) where I will provide regular updates on the work being done on behalf of the people of the United Houma Nation.
It is an honor and privilege to serve as the UHN Principal Chief and work on the behalf of our tribal citizens.
Bien merci et soin et toi (Thank you and take care)!
