For the last 16 years over 50 volunteers annually rotate over 7 days in 2 weekends to help raise funds for the UHN and be ambassadors for the thousands of individuals we serve fry bread, Indian tacos, and macque choux to at the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. It takes 25 volunteers daily to keep the booth running efficiently.
As Principal Chief I am honored and humbled by the outpouring of support and love for the Tribe day in day out by the volunteers who make the trek at 6am daily to work in the unpredictable weather conditions ranging from heat to rain and mud to work until 9pm all while smiling, laughing and joking the whole time and then again doing it again the next day. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work. You are appreciated!!!
