Thank You for Prayers and Well Wishes

Posted by United Houma Nation on Sunday, May 25, 2014

In the early morning hours of Friday, May 2nd, I was rushed to the hospital when I became very weak and ill suddenly.  Upon arrival, the staff discovered that my appendix had ruptured and I was scheduled for an emergency appendectomy.  I spent 6 days in the hospital recuperating and spent an additional week at home resting.

I would like to personally thank everyone who reached out to me and my family with prayers and well wishes while I have been focused on healing.  You will never know how much I appreciate you all for the support you provided to my family while they were busy caring for me.

I returned to work earlier this week and am happy to report that I am getting back into the swing of things.  Additionally I would like to wish a special thank you to everyone who stepped in and assisted while I have been out.  At times like these I am so grateful for the dedicated team of council members, staff and volunteers that keep our Tribe moving forward.
