Meet The Tribal Council
Charlton “Chuck” Duthu was born in Houma, Louisiana. He and his brother were raised by their mother,
Anna M. Parfait and their maternal grandfather, Joseph Parfait in Dulac, Louisiana where they were
taught the importance of an education and to have pride in your heritage. He has been living in Houma
for over 30 years now.
Chuck is the proud father of three sons, Brennan, Gregory, and Benjamin. Brennan and Gregory are married and Gregory has also blessed him with three beautiful granddaughters, Mackenzie, Juliette, and Kyleigh.
After graduating from South Terrebonne High School, Chuck worked briefly for the Inter‐Tribal Council of Louisiana as a Job Developer/Field Service Representative. He is currently employed as an Engineering Systems Specialist with Oil States Industries of Houma, LLC.
Chuck enjoys photography, specializing in indoor and outdoor portraits and has a studio at home. He also plays guitar at his church, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, on Sunday evenings and also at Gibson Baptist Church on Sunday mornings.
Chuck is looking forward to representing the residents of District 5 to the best of his ability and work very hard to bring about positive change for the district and to the Tribe as a whole.
