PLEASE NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE
UHN Tribal Councilwoman Janie Luster was recently invited to take part in Chef John Folse's 13-part series "A Taste of Louisiana" PBS Nationally broadcasted cooking show. Filming will take part in August at White Oak Plantation. This season's episodes will focus on Chef Folse's new book "Hooks, Lies and Alibis" focused on fish and seafood dishes.
The invitation was not only for Councilwoman Luster, but the citizens of the United Houma Nation to be part of the studio audience. The invitation is for 4 tappings:
Shrimp Tuesday, August 12th 4:30 p.m.
Oyster Monday, August 11th 5:30 p.m.
Garfish Wednesday, August 13th 4:30 p.m.
Turtle Wednesday, August 13th 5:30 p.m.
All filming will be outdoors at White Oak Plantation. Everyone should feel free to dress comfortably for “fishing weather” and August heat. As a friendly reminder, please do NOT wear any striped, white, or black and white checkered clothing. (These colors do not read well on camera.)
If you would like to attend any of these filmings, please CONTACT US to reserve your space and confirm your attendance.
