Dr. Shana Walton, Assistant Professor of English and Professor of the emerging Bayou Studies Program at Nicholls State University is assisting UHN organizers with coordinating a tour of the campus in late June that will also include meeting with the University's Admission Office to review the process of correctly enrolling and Financial Aid Department to discuss what financial aid is available, how to best finance the cost of your education, what students need to apply and when should they apply.

Who should plan to attend the tour?

  • Recent tribal graduates that have not yet completed the admission and financial aid processes for the Fall 2014 semester.
  • High school seniors who are contemplating attending college and want to know what NSU offers as well as when they should begin the admission process.
  • High school juniors who are contemplating attending college and want to know what NSU offers, what the admission requirements.

As we are currently finalizing the exact day in June for the tour, we do know it will be in the afternoon and transportation arrangements will be available from multiple community points.  The tour will be from 1-4 pm and attendees will have dinner together as part of an extended tour of Thibodaux to see the campus surroundings and work opportunities for students that may be seeking such opportunities.

Space is limited and all students attending MUST sign up by June 11, 2014 in order to coordinate transportation, meals and tour details.  To sign up for this event, please complete the form below and SELECT COLLEGE TOURS.  Someone will be in touch soon to obtain appropriate releases and provide more details.
