Call for Action

Posted by United Houma Nation on Sunday, May 18, 2014

CALL FOR ACTION!!!  Tribal leaders are charged with the responsibility of protecting and preserving our tribal communities and need your help.  The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority is in the early stages of revising and updating the Louisiana Coastal Master Plan.  Although tribal leaders have met with state officials and representatives regarding this issue, it is also important to hear from you.

It is imperative that the UHN have a position, project priorities and recommendations in advance to advocate for in this plan.  Tribal leaders NEED YOUR INPUT and ASSISTANCE in updating and developing that plan.

Click HERE to see the April 2014 Quarterly Report from the CPRA and learn more about the current status of projects authorized as well as what projects are currently considered priorities.

We know many of you feel passionately about coastal protect and restoration and now is the time to ensure your voice is heard.  Please CONTACT US to join the UHN team as NO ONE SHOULD BE SPEAKING FOR THE HOUMA PEOPLE BUT HOUMA PEOPLE!
