The United Houma Nation's 18th Annual Banquet is quickly approaching. We hope many of you consider attending to be part of an evening full of celebration and community gathering on Saturday, December 20 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This year's banquet will feature guest speaker Lt. Governor Jefferson Keel of the Chickasaw Nation. Additionally 7 tribal citizens will be recognized for their dedication and service to the United Houma Nation. This year's award recipients are:
Cultural Preservation Award - Raymond Clark, Jr. of Houma
Education Award - Rose Dardar Guidry of Golden Meadow
Advocate Award - Jessica Laughlin Duggan and Joshua Pitre with Dentons, LLC
Leadership Award - Gregory Creppel of Marrero
Pioneer Award - Nacie and Jane Verdin of Point aux Chene
Immediately following the awards ceremony, dinner will be provided by Heads and Tails catering and dancing courtesy of Junior Lacrosse and Sumptin Sneaky.
Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door. Children eating will be charged full price as catering fees are based on per plate consumption. No outside food is allowed; however, small children are welcome to eat from their parents plates. Tickets are available at the UHN Houma and Golden Meadow Offices.
