The UHN has ongoing efforts to raise funds to advance the L'Crevisse Project, which will be a Cultural Center and French Immersion School for future generations of UHN youth. The L’Crevisse is focused on creating a home for the tribal community, as well as visitors, to better experience and explore the intermingled tribal and French heritage.  The L’Crevisse will be 2 separate but connected components.  The L’Crevisse will also be inclusive of:

*Tribal auditorium
*A tribal restaurant/café
*A tribal museum and gift shop

*Emergency Preparedness Center
*Community meeting rooms

With the preservation of our Houma-French language being of utmost importance, the United Houma Nation’s vision is also to build a French Immersion School. The school will begin with Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First Grade.
